Awo Omisade Serikali

Awo OmiSade has served the Louisville Community for over 30 years. She has held various positions within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services working to support families and keeping children safe. Currently she is The C.E.G. “Chief Executive Goddess of OmiSade. LLC, Transformational Health and Wellness Life Coaching and Spiritual Guide, a Regional Program Manager for the Division of Family Resources and Youth Services Centers and is Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Russell: A Place of Promise.
Her area of specialty is energy movement which includes Tai Chi & Qigong, Kemetic Yoga, Usui Reiki Level I and II, guided meditation and intuitive self-healing. In 2020, Awo established OmiSade, LLC Spiritual Consultants. Their mission is to use ancient technology and Ancestral practices to guide the practitioner towards restorative health and wellness through three phases: Knowledge of Self, Mastery of the Body and reestablishing a Divine connection to Spirit.

  • Awo OmiSade attended the University of Louisville where she received a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Education Psychology. She also holds a Master’s from Spalding University in Guidance Counseling and completed her doctoral studies in Public Health at the University of Kentucky.

Dr./Awo Aquair "Omiyale" Muhammad

Baba SwamiGi Dr. Aquair “OmiYale” Muhammad journeys along both ends of the spectrum as an astrophysicist, shaman, and priest of Orunmila in West African Yoruba Tradition. Baba OmiYale, the astrophysicist is an adjunct professor of physics at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan by day and shaman priest by night. In the realm of science, over the years he has immersed himself in experimental physics as a Virginia Space Grant Consortium Recipient and managed five undergraduate researchers in a research laboratory valued at approximately $350,000.
Over the years Baba OmiYale has engaged in spiritual trainings  and apprenticeships in Santeria and Yoruba with Queen Mother Olabumi Akinyami, wife of HRH Oba Efuntola Oseijeman Adelabu Adefunmi I of Ojotunji Village and Innervisions Institute for Spiritual Development’s Spiritual Life Maintenance Program founded by Iyanla Vanzant where he studied Spiritual Life Coaching, Principles of Metaphysics, Life Mastery and Healthy Mind/Body Practices and Principles.
In 2008 his continued devotion to his spiritual journey led him to the Institute of Whole Life Healing where he initiated into the Yoruba priesthood and began delving into divination and the Lakota Sweat Lodge Training. And believe it or not; he is a father, beekeeper, and master gardener.

Awo Atayah "Falanlu " Sekese

I Am, Oshun Ibua Kuara, Awo Falanlu Sekese,ShuVani, Atayah Najimah Olakunle. I was initiated into IFA after being introduced to African Spiritually by My African dance instructor, Shera Khamisi. Chief Obafemi Ifayemi came to Cincinnati Ohio to conduct a seminar on IFA. This seminar gave further insight to the study of nature, IFA. I initiated the following spring April 6,2014. I was then elevated to Aborisha named IfaSesan, victory l have found that which i was in search of.

IFA has truly been a rebirth for Me. I met Iya Mariyamah OloMidara in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We were to be initiated to the Ancient Ancestral Mothers: Iyaami Wa.  Awo Fa'lokun Fatumbi and his Wife Iyanifa FaJaLabi officiating. Upon consulting with them it was determined that l was to be initiated as Priestess of Orunmila. Thus becoming Iyanifa Falanlu Sekese . I continued My practice of IFA in Cincinnati Ohio. In ritual l observed the New and Full Moon in gathering. IFA practitioners around the city joined Me at the River and the "Momma trees" to make offerings. These were some of the greatest moments of My life! One cold January day in 2023 My Ebeji and I met Awo, Oba OmiTosin Osunwole. Our head washing was the beginning of a beautiful and spiritual alliance. I am honored to be working amongst the group of Ajubonas at Osa Otura Mystic Temple!

Iyalosha Angelique "Sobande" Greer

Iya Angelique "Sobande" Greer is a 5th generation Master Herbalist, Holistic Nutritionist, and Wellness Strategist, based in the Kentucky-Tennessee region. She is also a veteran of the United States Army, having served during Desert Storm. In 1992, she made history by founding the first African American School of Herbalism in the United States - The NCB School of Herbalism & Holistic Health near Nashville TN.

In addition to her foundational work, Iya Sobande is the visionary powerhouse behind several transformative initiatives. These include the Sacred Waters Retreat, Cook Cure & Conjure, Legacy Tea Blends, and The Afro Botany Immersion Conference held in Costa Rica. Each of these ventures reflects her commitment to holistic health, cultural heritage, and spiritual growth.

Iya Sobande’s academic credentials are equally impressive. She is a proud graduate of Austin Peay State University, where she earned undergraduate degrees in Communications, Public Relations, and Health & Nutrition. Furthering her expertise, she is a Certified Natural Health Professional with the Trinity School of Natural Health. She also holds an additional title of Certified Holistic Health Consultant from the International Board of African Thinkers & Healers Inc. and is a member of the Ghana Traditional Healers Association, under the direct guidance of the world-renowned late Dr. Llaila O. Afrika ND.

Over the past 35 years, Iya Sobande’s contributions to the field of holistic health have been widely recognized. Her products, services, workshops, and literary publications have been featured in esteemed platforms such as Traditional Medicinals’ “Female Trailblazers of American Herbalism”, Black Enterprise Magazine, The Country Music Awards Association, Urban Network Magazine, and the National Coffee & Tea Trade Journal. She has also been listed in Who’s Who in Alternative Healthcare and has been a guest on a variety of radio shows, podcasts, and other publications.

Babalorisha Cliff "Akinrinola" Greer Karade-Anke

Baba Akinrinola Greer’s lifelong journey of cultural awareness, community upliftment, and spiritual leadership began in the late 1980s at Austin Peay State University, where his passion for heritage and holistic growth was first ignited. It was there that he discovered the power of unity, representation, and education as tools for transforming values that have guided his life’s work ever since. As an instrumental participant of The African American Cultural Center at APSU, Cliff’s presence and dedication helped create a vibrant hub that celebrated African heritage, nurtured student leadership, and built bridges across communities. He also co-launched the first African Fashion Show and Marketplace, a groundbreaking celebration of African aesthetics, fashion, and entrepreneurship that brought cultural pride to the runway. 

A fearless advocate for equality, Cliff played a leading role as a member of the African American Student Association during APSU’s historic first African American student sit-in, an act of courage that echoed the call for justice and equity through the university’s halls. He served as a co-creator of the Annual African American Student Leadership Conference, working alongside visionary mentors Dr. A.J. Stovall and Dr. James E. Mock originating at Austin Peay State University. Together, they cultivated leadership, purpose, and entrepreneurial spirit among countless young scholars. Recognizing the importance of empowering the next generation, Cliff helped launch the first Saturday School Program at Lincoln Holmes, offering educational enrichment to children through mentorship and cultural engagement. His dedication to education and community service extended into curating events that brought notable African American thought leaders and cultural icons to Clarksville, Tennessee. Among them were Kevin Douglass Greene, great-great-grandson of Frederick Douglass; Barbara O., the celebrated actress from Daughters of the Dust; Dr. Llaila O. Afrika, world-renowned naturopath; ascended HRM Nwachukwu Nashid Koleoso Karade Eri, CEO/co-founder of Institute of Whole Life Healing and spiritual elder to Bro. Greer and his wife; and Muti Emily Gunter, mother of artist Kadir Nelson, each sharing their wisdom and reinforcing the importance of legacy, culture, and healing. Beyond his public work, Cliff’s life reflects balance, discipline, and a deep spiritual connection. He is a U.S. Army veteran and Desert Storm medic, holding a bachelor’s degree in biology from Austin Peay State University. His spiritual path includes serving as a Certified Sweat Lodge Pourer, facilitating traditional Lakota and African purification ceremonies. 

He is also a Spiritual Priest, a Certified Rites of Passage Elder, as well as a Certified Labyrinth Technician skilled in designing, maintaining, and teaching the art of sacred meditation spaces.  A member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for over 35 years, he has served as a two-time Basileus of the Psi Pi Chapter, Vice-Basileus and Keeper of Records & Seals, consistently embodying the fraternity’s principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift. Cliff’s personal life is a testament to love and dedication; he has been married to his college sweetheart for over 30 years, is the proud father of three daughters, and grandfather to seven grandchildren. His passions include art, chess, golf, water sports, travel, and reading spiritually and culturally enriching literature. His journeys have taken him across the globe from Cuba, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, and beyond, expanding his understanding of humanity and the global spirit. Clifford Greer stands as an inspiring figure whose life bridges culture, faith, and service. His unwavering commitment to community, education, and holistic wellness continues to uplift generations reminding us all to honor our ancestors, seek truth, and walk with purpose.
